Two designers, one twelve-foot desk
A couple who both design for a living shared a spare bedroom with two wobbling desks and a tangle of cables. They wanted one continuous surface to spread work across, storage that swallows samples and swatches, and a floor that could take chair wheels all day without complaining.
We laid wide-plank engineered oak, built a twelve-foot desk on trestle legs with cable trays routed through the spine, and lined one wall with floor-to-ceiling storage in oak and ash.
Built for the way they work
We watched how they shared the old room for a morning: one spreads, one stacks. So the desk is one unbroken top — no seams, no wobble — with a central spine carrying power, and each end gets its own deep drawer bank. The storage wall mixes open bays for current projects with closed cupboards for the archive of fourteen years.
